The My Organic School outdoor classroom comprises of a 3.2 m x 1m x 600mm high timber raised veggie bed. The bed is attached with 2 round learning tables, 4 irrigation sprinklers, filled with organic soil and planted out with 50 organic vegetable seedlings.

 

Inspirational "Where does your food come from" signage is installed in each bed. The outdoor classroom serves as an educational facility for all school students.

 

The My Organic School curicculm can be taught in the out door classroom educating students about healthy eating habits and the source of their food.

General school classes can also be taught in the facility including art, numeracy and literacy. The outdoor classroom is conducive to a play based, inquiry style of teaching. This style of teaching has very high student engagement rates and excellent long term results.
