One of our Living Outdoor Classrooms won Waverley Council Mayor's Garden Sustainability award.

We are proud to announce that one of our ‘My Organic School’ living outdoor classrooms has won the Waverley Council Garden Sustainability Award. We install these facilities in schools throughout Sydney. The Bronte facility is comprised of 7 raised veggie beds with attached round tables to run classes. The classes are experienced based and named: “where does you good come from?” As well as covering classes in literacy , numeracy, art, science and design/technology. Students are far more engaged when involved in play based learning. Our curriculum also emphasised teacher’s play/empathy/experience/inquiry based teaching in the outdoor living classroom. The Bronte facility has 2 beds utilising a wicking bed design with a reservoir of water beneath the soil. All beds have interactive signage. Over 300 vegetable seedlings are raised and down in the garden annually on a rotating seasonal basis.
