Why you should feel excited about your co-op.
Because we are leading the way in effecting nutritional change at a grass roots level. Our Bronte school organic Vege co-op is pumping with 28 boxes divvyed up last week. We are applying for government grants to establish our educational program and designing new raised herb beds at the school to integrate into a class lesson curriculum. Organic co-ops: 1/. reduce family expenses, 2/. makes certified organic produce accessible to every family, 3/. connects farmers with consum

Remembering to make your weekly payment.
It can take a while to get used to the new routine of making an organic produce order through a website each week. It's not that it's difficult, in fact its very easy and only takes one minute on your smart phone. I've got a recurring weekly alert on my phone's calendar to make the order on Sunday night (seen above), give it a go! Download the www.bopco.com.au website as an icon on the home screen of your smart phone, makes ordering even faster! I'd like to introduce BOPCO's

Are you interested in buying a box of bulk organic beef cuts straight from the farmer?
We are in discussions with organic short horn cattle breeder Charlie Arnott of 'Hannamino' station in Boorowa NSW to deliver mixed boxes of beef cuts, sausages and mince to BOPCO members during our box pickup on Thursday arvos once per month. Knowing where our meat comes from, how it is cared for, that it is pasture fed, that it is pesticide and added hormone free is a wonderful incentive to buying a mixed organic box from Charlie. Please have a look at this short video of

Introducing My Organic School's wonderful volunteers.
Our organic produce co-op can only run with the dedicated help of our wonderful volunteers. I'd like to introduce My Organic School's buyer Tina Clark. She has done a wonderful job settling into the buying role. This is a challenging job which requires taking many variables into consideration: quality of past produce from specific growers, contents of previous week's box, divisibility of the item by the number of member's purchasing e.g. cabbages are 12 in a box (27 familie

We need your help with the Divvy on Thursday arvos at 3pm.
Divvying fresh organic produce is FUN! Ask any of the members of My Organic School who have given it a go so far, they all loved it. Taking the lid off a box of fresh organic corn is a similar feeling to opening a Xmas present as a kid. So even if you are not rostered on to help in the divvy you are very welcome to come and help us any Thursday arvo at 3pm. Many hands make light work. Just look out for Aline and she'll give you a job. The divvy brings like minded parents toge

Week 2, What a cracking box.
Our co-op's second delivery was an absolute cracker. The divvy teams are having fun learning how to get the produce packed up quick smart. The quality and freshness of the produce has been wonderful. This is a no brainer really, our produce doesn't spend time languishing in a retailer's loading bay and on their shelf. It isn't handled by hundreds of other customers and thrown back on the shelf. Organic produce isn't frozen and stored like conventional apples. Our tomatoes are

Swap your veggies at 3.45 - 4pm Thursdays with other members!
My Organic School got off to a cracking start with a huge amount of produce in our first box. The quality was first rate and the feedback has been excellent. If you pick your box up at 3.45pm you can swap contents with other members and customise your box. We plan on buying potatoes and onions every second week. If you have any feedback about the contents of the box please email admin@myorganicschool.com and I will pass it on to our awesome buyer Tina Clark. You can pick your

What do you do with all of these vegies?
ANSWER: Soup 'em up & Roast 'em up! It's all about saving time, combining tasks and getting the job done fast. So how do we get all these nutritious vegies into our meals with as little fuss as possible? Time to get the chopping board out and pump out a vegie soup and roast vegies. You can add beef or chicken to the soup and throw the roast vegies into salads with goats cheese and kale. Try adding mandarin to the roast veggies, kids love the sweetness that comes out as they
