Winter Flu Tea recipe

WINTER COLDS AND FLUS

Sometimes winter colds and flus are unavoidable and a nice opportunity to hibernate and cancel all commitments.

This recipe is my basic flu tea, it's very popular and I've had lots of positive feedback in helping speed recovery or avoid becoming sick all together. You can take this tea preventatively but it works best if you drink the whole 1.5 litres in the first 24 hours of onset of a cold or flu.

FLU TEA RECIPE

4 cloves garlic crushed 1 large knob tumeric 1 large knob ginger 1.5 litres filtered water 2 lemons with skin on – juiced 3 tablespoons honey

Fill a large pot with 1.5 litres filtered water, add the crushed ginger, garlic and tumeric into the water, heat to a mild simmer for 10 – 15 minutes. Turn off the heat add juiced lemons and honey to taste.

FOR THE ADULTS you can add 1 -2 pinches of chilli to enhance the effects of the garlic ginger and tumeric. Serve in a tea pot and strain as you drink. ENJOY
